‘Awake’ – Julian Marley West Coast Release Party

Julian Marley’s new album “ AWAKE ” (Tuff Gong/ Ghetto Youths/ Universal-Republic) landed at #2 on the coveted album Billboard Reggae Album Chart, in the first week of release. Legendary Jamaican Playwright Trevor Rhone Dies

Rhone… died of a heart attack yesterday.

I had the  opportunity to play the ‘busbwoy’ in Trevor Rhone’s play Smile Orange here in Los Angeles (directed by Jeffery Anderson Gunter) a couple years ago. It was a great opportunity and helped to get my name out in Hollywood as an upcoming actor. I was honored to be able to represent Jamaica through one of the greatest Jamaican plays ever written. Trevor helped to put Jamaican theater and film on the map by putting our country in front of the eyes of millions. Thank you Trevor you will be missed. Usain Bolt Set To Rake In US$500,000 for South Korea Race

MONTE-CARLO, Monaco (CMC) – Jamaica’s phenomenal World and Olympic sprint champion Usain Bolt is set to enjoy a whopping US$500,000 payday for competing in the 100 metres in South Korea later this month.

Bolt… has been labelled the greatest sprinter of all time

Bolt is expected to tackle the shorter sprint on September 25 at the Daegu Pre-Championships Meeting.

Moon Dong-hoo, vice-president of the organising committee for the 2011 Daegu IAAF World Championships in Athletics, said Bolt confirmed that he will race in Daegu and the details are now being worked out for his 100-metre appearance.
